Eid Mubarak. Insha’Allah we are estimating, based on ISNA and the Fiqh Council of North America, that Eid ul-Fitr will be on Friday, April 21.

  1. There will be a special award ceremony for the kids who attended the weekend classes over the last two semesters immediately after Eid Khutbah. Please stay and cheer the kids on. They have worked hard and have learned a lot. Some have progressed incredibly with their Arabic reading.

  2. There will also be shortened Jumu’ah prayer. Khutbah will be at 1:30 pm for this Friday (4/21) ONLY and iqamah will be at 1:40 pm.

  3. Please bring something to share with the community. If the weather is good, we will set up the tables outside to place food that you bring to share. If there is rain, we will have the food items in the basement.

Eid takbir will start at 8:30 am and the prayer at 9:00 am. See you there!

From the Fiqh Council of North America: Zakatul Fitr is one sa’ (about 5 pounds) of wheat, barley, rice, flour, or dates. So, the average price is about $12. Fiday is a day’s meals (Ta’am miskeen) estimated in US in 2023 about $15.

ICLP previously announced that this year the Zakatul Fitr is $15 per person in your household. Please plan to provide cash or check at the Masjid prior to the start of the prayer. This can be done any time before Eid ul-Fitr. If you prefer to use electronic means, only use Zelle or CASH app because they do not charge fees. We will have a box just for Zakat ul-Fitr.
