The first day of Ramadan will be Saturday, May 27th, 2017 iA.
"The Fiqh Council of North America (FCNA) recognizes astronomical calculation as an acceptable Shar’i method for determining the beginning of Lunar months including the months of Ramadan and Shawwal. FCNA uses the criteria of European Council of Fatwa and Research (ECFR), which are that somewhere on the globe, at the sunset, the elongation should be at least 8 degrees and moon should be at least 5 degrees above horizon. If this condition is met, the month starts the next day; otherwise the month starts on the day following next. The presence of moon above horizon at sunset is the basis.
On the basis of this method, the dates of Ramadan for the year 1438 AH are established as follows:
1st of Ramadan will be on Saturday, May 27, 2017"

We are working on getting someone to come in to clean the masjid weekly during the month of Ramadan, however, we are asking everyone to help tidy up after Iftar on Friday and Saturday nights. Please clean up after your kids and consider bringing drink containers for them that doesn’t spill.
There will not be an iftar on May 27th at ICLP and we were not able to verify if there would be one at PF.
The Iftar calendar is up at the masjid. If you are interested in sponsoring an Iftar, please check the calendar for availability. There might be only one Saturday left.
On June 2nd Iftar, we will be handing out a survey regarding our Eid Party scheduled for July 8th from Dhuhr-Maghrib We are planning the Eid party and your input would be appreciated.
Taraweeh Prayer will be at 10pm daily.
